Memorial Day and A Spiritual Thought

It’s Memorial Day Weekend in a few days in America. However you choose to remember this Holiday, please be safe. As a child, my parent’s routine was to decorate every grave from every relative who had passed over. I thought in my innocence decorating meant decorating a room. Silly me, I just never understood this ritual, and never questioned it until I was 16. And that is a whole nother scene; I won’t bore you with that story. Half the time we couldn’t find the graves, and when we did it was one of the saddest times I can remember. The car smelled of funeral’s, with all those flowers. We had to drive from Columbus, Ohio to WV just to be sad. So at 16 I refused to go and well it wasn’t pretty. With that being said, we all need to make a decision for ourselves as to what gives us peace. If visiting plots of your love ones and decorating them, gives you peace, you need to do this. But if it doesn’t than don’t. Our love ones live in our hearts, in our memories and in our souls. We don’t always need a thing or place to connect with our love ones to remind us that they are still in our thoughts and always will be a part of our spirit.

PLEASE DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE OR USE ANY ELECTRONIC DEVISE WHATSOEVER, EVER. GO TO OPRAH.COM AND SIGN THE NO CELL PHONE PLEDGE. WE HAVE LOST TOO MANY SPIRITS ALREADY TO THIS INSANE ADDICTION.
